Supporting Construction's Future Workforce

The Minnesota Builders Exchange has a strong history of supporting the future of the construction industry and the students seeking a career within it!

Together with our partner, The Builders Group Education Foundation, we are again awarding multiple scholarships to qualifying students pursuing a degree in a construction-related field at an accredited post-secondary institution in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Scholarship awards may range from $500 to $5,000.

Scholarship Eligibility
To qualify for an MBEX / TBG Construction Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be entering their fall semester as a freshman, sophomore or junior. (If attending longer than the traditional 4-years of undergrad, seniors may be eligible.)
• Be enrolled in a construction-related field of study at an accredited four-year university, two-year community or technical college, or a construction trade school. Those studying a specific trade are highly encouraged to apply, but all types of construction-related fields of study are eligible candidates for a scholarship.
• Be studying at an institution located in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
• Be maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA (or equivalent).
• Posses a strong passion for the construction industry and want to give back to their community.
• Agree to attend a minimum of ONE MBEX-hosted event within the Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 semester. (Further discussion will be held for out-of-state recipients.)
• Previous scholarship recipients may reapply as long as they are not entering their final semester and/or year of their academic studies.

Elgibility rules may change for 2024-2025 applicants.
